Abstract

In March 2018, the city of Gorontalo the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased from 126.86 in February to 127.29 in March; this change causes inflation of 0.34 percent.
Gorontalo City Inflation occurred due to an increasement in index in three expenditure groups, while four expenditure groups experienced a decrease in index. Expenditure group that experienced an increase in index, namely foodstuffs group by 1.46 percent, clothing by 0.45 percent and education, recreation and sports by 0.01 percent. While the group that experienced the index decline were the food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco group by -0.02 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group by -0.01 percent, health group by -0.45 percent , and the transport, communication and financial services group by -0.07 percent.
The calendar year inflation rate was 0.17 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" (March 2018 to March 2017) was 2.83 percent.
March core inflation in Gorontalo City was 0.03 percent, government-set inflation by -0.07 percent, and volatile inflation of 1.51 percent
