Checking Market Prices and Controlling Inflation at Bongo-Nol Market, Paguyaman

Monday, April 3, 2023. The Head of the Institutions of Statistics and the Distribution Team together with the Police and Koperindag Boalemo Regency checked the prices and supplies of basic necessities at the Bongo-Nol Market, Paguyaman District.

These activities are intended to control inflation during the month of Ramadan 1444H. Some food ingredients and seasoning also experienced an increase in price, including chicken meat which increased from IDR 50,000.00/2.3 kg to IDR 55,000.00/2.3 kg.

Eggs, which were originally IDR 50,000.00 - 60,000.00/good, became IDR 52,000.00 - 65,000.00/tray. Bulk Oil, starting at IDR 22,000.00/1.5 liters, goes up to IDR 26,000.00/1.5 liters. In addition, kitchen spices such as garlic, candlenut, and chilies have also increased. Tempeh and tofu, whose raw materials are made from soybeans, have also increased. Meanwhile, the price of rice in the market varies from IDR 10,000.00 - 14,000.00.

The price increase was caused by several factors, such as materials purchased from outside the area, the harvest season was past, as well as the influence of distributors who raised the price of goods.
